Built in 1438, the Onofrio Fountain is one of the ending points for the aqueduct system built to give citizens fresh water; in Zlataric Street is the first orphanage in Dubrovnik (1432) where girls/women could drop off their unwanted babies (and possibly claim them back in the future with one half of a broken coin to match what is left with the baby).
